Student Success Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for students in the School for the Environment, supporting them from initial interest through graduation.
• Provide academic and student services via in-person, phone, and Zoom interactions, including information on programs, registration, and advising.
• Maintain communication systems and manage student data within respective databases and WISER.
• Support the Director of AASC, the Dean's office, and graduate program directors with projects, outreach, and resource distribution.
• Assist with student success and retention events such as open houses, welcome days, and graduation ceremonies.
• Support accreditation activities and maintain accurate student records and reports.
• Supervise the work of student work-study employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in student services or a related field.
• Proficiency with software applications, office software, and database management.
• Knowledge of current student development theory and research.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a team capacity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure within academic timelines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of environmental science, environmental studies, or community development.
