Student Success Coach

Responsibilities

• Support students in building skills, behaviors, and habits that contribute to academic success, retention, and completion
• Monitor a caseload of students through scheduled meetings, check-ins, and proactive outreach
• Respond to early alerts from faculty with intentional outreach to students in academic and summer bridge programs
• Conduct individual or group academic coaching sessions to help students develop success plans
• Assist students with time management, organization, goal setting, and effective study strategies
• Collaborate with faculty advisors and campus personnel to facilitate accurate academic planning and timely degree completion
• Connect students with appropriate campus resources, support services, and financial aid information
• Document all student interactions and progress within the Navigate system
• Teach Smith Seminar (SMS 100) and assist in developing advising materials

Requirements

• Master's degree in counseling, education, psychology, or a closely related field
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with Jenzabar or related Enterprise Resource Programs (ERPs)
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Qualifications

• At least two years of experience in a higher education setting (e.g., advising, teaching, career services, or student affairs)
