Student Success Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide academic advice and counseling to first- and second-year students to help them define and achieve educational goals.
• Monitor student progress and implement retention strategies, including early alert interventions.
• Maintain accurate student records and ensure academic information is correctly updated in Banner.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and related offices like the Registrar and Career Services to support student success.
• Match students with appropriate academic support and counseling services.
• Review and approve proposed class schedules and provide advising for upper-class students during faculty absences.
• Participate in University committees, advising workshops, and outreach efforts for re-enrollment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an academic discipline.
• Previous experience in college-level advising or teaching.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to manage academic records.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, faculty, and administrators.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including some evening and weekend duties.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
