Student Success Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized mentoring, coaching, and guidance to help students achieve personal, academic, and career goals
• Conduct proactive outreach to at-risk students to assist in overcoming barriers to success
• Connect students with appropriate campus and community resources to support retention and completion
• Develop and facilitate student success workshops and support learning communities
• Promote student engagement initiatives and support the daily operations of the Student Success Center
• Assist with the administration and proctoring of exams
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and community partners to enhance student support services

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
• Two years of professional experience in counseling, advising, or a related field (a Master’s degree in a related field may be substituted for years of experience)
• Proficiency with personal computers and office software, including MS Office and email
• Valid state driver’s license
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, and the public
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience
• Experience utilizing enterprise-wide integrated student information systems (e.g., Colleague)
• Experience using early alert systems (e.g., CRM Advise)
