About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and customer service support for the English Language Institute (ELI) to prospective and current learners
- Manage student applications, registration processes, and course information for approximately 2,000 students annually
- Advise students on visa requirements, medical insurance, fees, and accommodation options
- Process student payments including cash, cheques, and credit cards while ensuring PCI compliance
- Maintain accurate student records and perform data entry using registration systems
- Promote ELI programs and courses both online and on-campus
- Coordinate campus mail, outgoing courier packages, and facility-related service requests
- Support sample classes by managing Zoom links, reminders, and survey emails
Requirements
- High School graduation and at least 1 year of post-secondary education
- 3 years of related administrative or customer service experience
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Typing speed of at least 50 wpm
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Senior administrative experience, ideally within a university or academic environment
- Experience with records management and student registration systems (SRS or SISC)
- Ability to speak a second language
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with non-native English speakers
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
