About the role
Responsibilities
- Supervise hourly represented employees in a unionized manufacturing environment
- Implement Health & Safety laws and promote a safe work environment
- Ensure quality levels are maintained and improved daily
- Maintain and exceed efficiency levels through continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage the effective use of personnel, material, and equipment
- Align operations with local and national labour agreements
- Maintain department records and complete various administrative tasks
- Achieve business plan objectives and targets through shift rotations and flexible hours
Requirements
- Pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree (3rd or 4th year) in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Business, or Commerce
- Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada
- Available for an 8 or 12-month co-op term starting September 2026
- Willingness to work in a plant environment with flexible hours, including shift work, weekends, and overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing or automotive industry experience
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
