Student Optician

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting with eyewear selection and providing product recommendations
• Record precise measurements and perform correct eyewear adjustments and fittings under the supervision of a Licensed Optician
• Operate Point of Sale terminals with high accuracy regarding customer and prescription data
• Educate customers on adjustment services and optical products
• Maintain store appearance and visual displays to ensure a premium shopping environment

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an Opticianry program
• Previous experience in optical dispensing
• Solid knowledge of current optical theory and merchandise
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Proficiency with technology, including the ability to use an iPad or tablet

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in general customer service and retail environments
• Actively studying LensCrafters Final Inspector Certification
• Actively studying LensCrafters Quality, Fitting and Adjusting Program
