Student Leadership Advisor

Responsibilities

• Advise 15-20 undergraduate student organizations and leaders on goal setting, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness
• Support the planning and execution of campus-wide events, including Orientation, Welcome Week, and Commencement
• Provide front-facing office support, managing student communications, inquiries, and event requests
• Assist with financial tasks, including budget tracking, expense reconciliation, and the use of College purchasing systems
• Ensure student organizations operate in compliance with College policies, the Student Handbook, and community standards
• Lead specific functional focus areas such as student publications, communications, or student governance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree completed
• Experience in student leadership, student affairs, residence life, higher education, or related mentoring roles
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with diverse student populations
• Ability to respond calmly and professionally in high-pressure or crisis situations
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for campus programming and events

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience advising student government, programming boards, or leadership councils
• Interest in pursuing a career in higher education or student engagement
• Experience with student engagement platforms (e.g., Anthology Engage/GryphonLink)
• Experience in event planning, budget management, and risk management
