Student Internship Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in conceptual and block-level system design under the supervision of a System Engineer
• Support coverage design, traffic capacity planning, and frequency planning
• Help create small system equipment packages for repeat orders
• Work on projects related to network coverage planning, user capacity, and data throughput
• Learn about public safety systems and the business processes involved in presales and post-sale implementation

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 1-2 years of college-level coursework toward a B.S. in Wireless, Electrical, System, or Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex topics to non-technical audiences
• Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of radio systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, broadband, or microwave
• Knowledge of communications networks such as MPLS, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
• Previous experience working with customers
