About the role
Responsibilities
- Study existing conditions of buildings
- Identify failures of building components and systems
- Research and propose remedial design solutions
- Prepare design documents, including drawings and specifications
- Manage the bidding process
- Prepare and administer contract documents
- Inspect the construction of remedies
- Research code requirements and manufacturer recommendations
Requirements
- Pursuing a Master of Science in mechanical, civil, or architectural engineering (Bachelor's candidates considered)
- Emphasis in structural engineering preferred
- Knowledge of roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope systems is desirable
- Ability to interpret technical instructions
- Strong project management skills
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and Windows applications
