About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review and process student health documentation, including immunization records, medical histories, and clearance forms.
  • Manage insurance enrollments and waiver processing for the University-sponsored Student Health Plan.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic records in accordance with University policies and FERPA standards.
  • Provide guidance to students regarding insurance requirements, coverage standards, and waiver procedures.
  • Coordinate renter’s insurance enrollments and cancellations in collaboration with Housing and designated brokers.
  • Partner with the Office of the Bursar to post insurance premiums to student accounts and update student status.
  • Respond to student inquiries via email and phone within established service level agreements.
  • Assist with providing proof of malpractice insurance and monitoring air evacuation enrollment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of administrative, student services, health records, or insurance-related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of FERPA standards and student privacy protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working in higher education or healthcare settings.
  • Basic understanding of health documentation and insurance processes.
