Student Engagement Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs for new undergraduate students.
• Design and implement initiatives that promote student engagement, well-being, and social development.
• Support the election, training, and operations of student representatives and societies.
• Coordinate a diverse calendar of campus events, including awareness campaigns and social gatherings.
• Manage event logistics, including venue booking, vendor coordination, and promotion.
• Organize engagement activities and wellness initiatives for students under the age of 18.
• Develop and manage intramural sports programs to encourage physical wellness.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Academic Services, Admissions, and Career Services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in student affairs, higher education, communications, social sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in student engagement, campus life, or co-curricular program coordination.
• Proven experience in building, managing, and motivating teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, event planning software, and social media platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Understanding of Middle Eastern working practices and culture.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field.
• Previous experience working within the UAE.
• Proficiency in Arabic.
