About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for students and visitors at the Student Center
  • Act as the advisor to the Student Government Association (SGA), assisting with meetings, budget development, and expenditures
  • Manage and create announcements, emails, and information using the CampusGroups Student Engagement platform
  • Train Student Government Association and campus club officers
  • Recruit students for the HESAA Student Advisory Committee (SAC)
  • Oversee all college social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Support the planning and implementation of college-wide programs such as New Student Orientation and Commencement
  • Assist with event logistics, including preparation, setup, breakdown, and room scheduling
  • Create promotional and advertisement materials for student engagement
  • Maintain student government web pages, bulletin boards, and the college activity calendar
  • Perform general office duties, including processing requisitions, mail, and inventory

Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Experience using Student Activity platforms (e.g., CampusGroups)
  • Experience in special events planning and execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain sensitivity and respect for a diverse academic environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for prolonged periods
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
