Student Engagement & Special Events Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning and execution of campus events and programs
• Manage the scheduling and use of campus event spaces
• Supervise, schedule, and train student employees
• Serve as the primary contact for internal and external event clients
• Coordinate logistics with campus partners including Public Safety, Facilities, IT, and Catering
• Manage event contracts, vendor relationships, and pricing decisions
• Utilize the Events Management System (EMS) and reporting tools for operational efficiency
• Support budgeting, revenue tracking, and resource planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• Experience in event planning or coordination
• Experience in student staff supervision
• Strong organizational and logistics coordination skills
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in higher education, event services, or student engagement
• Familiarity with event technology or audio-visual systems
• Strong customer service and communication skills
