Student Engagement & Retention Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive advising and individualized support to students regarding academic progress and personal development.
• Monitor student progress and conduct outreach to connect students with campus and community resources.
• Identify and address academic, social, and personal barriers impacting student success and persistence.
• Coordinate, implement, and assess retention-focused programs aligned with Title III project goals.
• Plan and execute campus-wide engagement initiatives to enhance the student experience and sense of belonging.
• Collaborate with faculty, advisors, and campus partners to maintain a holistic approach to student success.
• Maintain accurate records of student interactions and assist with data collection and reporting for retention initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in educational counseling, higher education, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in higher education.
• Proven experience in student success, retention, or student support services.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse student populations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
