Student Engagement Officer

Responsibilities

• Support the design and delivery of engaging student experience programs, including orientation, events, and graduation activities.
• Contribute to student wellbeing initiatives and provide pastoral care, including monitoring support for under-18 international students.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the broader community to enhance the international student experience.
• Coordinate student activities such as lunches, BBQs, and social events to foster connection and belonging.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in student services, higher education, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in student engagement, wellbeing, or pastoral care, ideally within an international education context.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse student groups.
• Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and coordinate events.
• High level of cultural awareness and professionalism when handling sensitive matters.
• Valid Working with Children Check and a "C" class driver’s licence.
