About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the central coordinator for student activities, collaborating with Student Life to support programming such as Homecoming and the Big Event.
- Act as an advisor to student groups, including PAAC, helping students develop leadership skills and execute community activities.
- Support student clubs and organizations with contract negotiations, risk management, and operational improvements.
- Design, implement, and lead New Student Orientation twice annually, including the hiring and training of orientation staff.
- Manage budget responsibilities, including signature authority for routine billings, travel requests, and vouchers.
- Participate in the Leadership-on-Call rotation and provide support for civic engagement programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least three years of professional experience in higher education, preferably in student development, counseling, or education.
- Proven skills in program development and program marketing.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work successfully with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with student life at a small, residential liberal arts college.
- Ability to motivate students and foster leadership development.
- Interest in serving as a liaison for Greek organizations or a student conduct officer.
