Student Engagement Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Serve as the central coordinator for student activities, collaborating with Student Life to support programming such as Homecoming and the Big Event.
• Act as an advisor to student groups, including PAAC, helping students develop leadership skills and execute community activities.
• Support student clubs and organizations with contract negotiations, risk management, and operational improvements.
• Design, implement, and lead New Student Orientation twice annually, including the hiring and training of orientation staff.
• Manage budget responsibilities, including signature authority for routine billings, travel requests, and vouchers.
• Participate in the Leadership-on-Call rotation and provide support for civic engagement programming.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least three years of professional experience in higher education, preferably in student development, counseling, or education.
• Proven skills in program development and program marketing.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work successfully with diverse groups of students, faculty, and staff.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with student life at a small, residential liberal arts college.
• Ability to motivate students and foster leadership development.
• Interest in serving as a liaison for Greek organizations or a student conduct officer.
