Student Development Officer

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, career, and personal counseling to students to address performance, stress, and career planning.
• Design, implement, and assess student-centered programs, workshops, and leadership development initiatives.
• Advise student organizations and manage mentorship programs connecting students with faculty and alumni.
• Collaborate with faculty to identify at-risk students and implement academic support strategies.
• Foster student engagement through academic clubs, volunteer opportunities, and extracurricular activities.
• Respond to student-related crises and develop early intervention and prevention strategies.
• Assist in developing and updating student policies to ensure compliance with institutional standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Student Affairs, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in student affairs, counseling, or student services.
• Proficiency in using student information systems and standard office software.
• Strong experience in program design, implementation, and event coordination.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated empathy, problem-solving abilities, and cultural competence.
