Student Coordinator – Library (Evening)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for library operations during evening and weekend hours
• Coordinate and provide direction for undergraduate student workers on assigned shifts
• Staff the main information and reference desk, answering questions in person, via phone, and through online chat
• Manage circulation tasks, including checking items in and out and resolving circulation issues
• Assist with library maintenance processes such as searching for missing items and managing overdue/lost notices
• Provide technology assistance and troubleshooting for library patrons
• Use specialized library software to record statistics and manage materials
• Perform library closing procedures and communicate issues to the supervisor in a timely manner

Requirements

• Must be a Stevenson University graduate student (enrolled in a master's or doctoral program) by the start of Fall 2026
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree
• Must be in good academic and judicial standing with the University
• Proficiency in a Windows environment, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as scheduled
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a library or office setting
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and under supervision
