About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support community-based learning faculty, students, and community partners through event coordination for initiatives like FLEX Community Engagement Day and MLK Day of Service.
  • Perform clerical tasks including answering calls and emails, maintaining documents, and organizing office common areas.
  • Manage and update databases and social media accounts using tools such as GivePulse, Canva, and Instagram.
  • Design flyers and promotional materials for campus events and local community partners.
  • Collect and enter data for assessment purposes and support the OCCE Director and Program Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Must be an active University of La Verne student.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • General clerical and organizational skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment and handle tight time constraints.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Public speaking skills.
  • 1 to 2 years of related experience with nonprofit organizations or community service.
  • Experience valuing collaborative partnerships among diverse groups in multicultural environments.
