Student Assistant

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing experiments related to cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and/or neuroscience
• Maintain laboratory instrumentation such as centrifuges, electrophoresis, and confocal microscopes
• Compile and analyze data with appropriate statistical analysis to support CHI research
• Keep clear and detailed records of analyses in accordance with laboratory guidelines
• Maintain data in shared and readily accessible locations
• Present data to the PI and other lab members
• Assist the Principal Investigator with general lab maintenance, organization, and supply ordering

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program
• College-level knowledge in biological sciences (biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, or neuroscience)
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Computer literacy with proficiency in database and reporting tools
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment and with rodents

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in learning to perform molecular, cellular, and imaging experiments
