Student Assistant

Responsibilities

• Support research on hepatic calcium signaling and euglycemia under stress conditions
• Maintain a C57Bl6 IP3R1 KO and WT mouse colony
• Perform weekly weighing of experimental mice
• Conduct glucose tolerance, insulin tolerance, and cold-induced stress tolerance tests
• Harvest tissue and serum for biochemical, protein, and RNA analysis
• Maintain accurate laboratory notebooks and experimental records
• Adhere to all university compliance, code of conduct, and conflict of interest policies

Requirements

• Must be a current Rutgers University student
• BSc or equivalent degree
• Prior laboratory experience is required
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to perform job duties

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mouse husbandry and handling
