About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the lead advisor for the MSW degree, providing academic and administrative support to approximately 350 students.
  • Supervise and mentor two junior advisors to ensure high-quality student support services.
  • Analyze and communicate complex degree requirements, including concurrent degrees, stipend programs, and international exchange programs.
  • Act as the main advisor for the Urban Planning Double Degree program with the Urban School of Sciences Po (Paris).
  • Manage student records, degree audits, and academic petitions using student information systems.
  • Coordinate departmental events such as orientations, commencements, and conferences, handling all aspects from planning to logistics.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for campus offices regarding student affairs, fellowships, and degree processing.
  • Collect, analyze, and report student enrollment, curricular, and alumni data.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of graduate degree requirements, academic policies, and degree progress standards.
  • Proven experience using student information systems and degree audit tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in supervising and mentoring staff.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with faculty, students, and administrators.
  • Experience in event management, including conceptualization, planning, and execution.
  • Knowledge of student funding processes, including fellowships, stipends, and award administration.
  • Proficiency in data collection and reporting using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
