About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide front-line assistance and moderately complex advice to undergraduate and graduate students regarding program requirements, registration, and academic policies.
  • Respond to student inquiries via in-person, telephone, email, and virtual platforms.
  • Monitor student progression, compliance with prerequisites, and degree requirements.
  • Coordinate course registration processes, class lists, and enrolment reports.
  • Act as the official Timetable Representative, coordinating course schedules, laboratories, and examinations with faculty and scheduling services.
  • Administer undergraduate scholarships, awards, and bursaries, including managing application processes via Qualtrics.
  • Support academic misconduct and student conduct processes by maintaining confidential documentation and case files.
  • Maintain advising resources, website content, and operational documentation within Confluence.
  • Assist with the execution of University graduation ceremonies as a Graduand Marshal.

Requirements

  • High School graduation plus a two-year post-secondary diploma.
  • Four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute.
  • Familiarity with Workday Student.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Strong proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage heavy volumes of inquiries under pressure.
  • Experience with SISC and advanced administrative workflows.
