Student Accounts Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of student accounts, including auditing and posting adjustments or corrections
• Deliver front-line customer service to students, parents, and stakeholders via phone, email, and in person
• Initiate and manage payment plans and perform collection activities, including outreach and skip tracing
• Research delinquent accounts for potential write-off and coordinate with third-party collection agencies
• Monitor, audit, and reconcile disbursements, refunds, and outside scholarships
• Assist with the preparation, disbursement, and tracking of institutional loan documents
• Support university cashiering operations, including daily deposits and reconciliations
• Provide support to the Student Financial Services team during key campus events like registration and move-in

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, billing, or collections
• Familiarity with financial systems and data reconciliation processes
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word)
• A personal commitment to the Christian faith and the integration of faith and learning
• Ability to provide empathetic, solutions-oriented service in a fast-paced environment
