Student Accounts Specialist

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable, daily deposits, and third-party billing operations.
• Perform regular reconciliation of financial records across student accounts, general ledger, and activity funds.
• Monitor student payment plans, holds, and past due balances.
• Coordinate cashiering activities, including payment posting, account adjustments, and student communications.
• Manage annual 1098-T processing within Banner.
• Support compliance through system reconciliations and preparation for yearly audits.
• Collaborate with university departments to enhance enrollment services and student satisfaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with Ellucian Banner.
• Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Title IV funding and compliance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree.
• Proficiency or fluency in Spanish.
• Strong customer service orientation and experience in communication strategies.
• Knowledge of the La Salle University community and the City of Philadelphia.
