About the role
Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet customers promptly while offering assistance.
- Answer incoming telephone calls in a timely and efficient manner.
- Guide and educate customers by providing information regarding their student accounts.
- Respond accurately to customer questions in person, over the phone, or in writing.
- Accept and process payments for tuition and fees via cash or check.
- Perform end-of-shift reconciliation for all cashiered payments.
- Maintain front desk supplies and ensure the workspace remains organized.
- Forward customer escalations to the supervisor as needed.
- Contribute to team efforts by completing additional projects as business needs arise.
Requirements
- Basic computer and telephone skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to relate to customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Motivated and positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in cashiering or customer service.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Qualification for Federal Work-Study funding.
