Student Accounts Clerk

Responsibilities

• Assist students and families with billing inquiries and provide information regarding financial obligations.
• Process tuition, fees, enrollment deposits, and other student account payments.
• Manage accounts receivable, including posting charges, processing loan disbursements, and handling refunds or overpayments.
• Coordinate with third-party billing sources such as scholarship checks, 529 plans, and WVDRS.
• Respond to student and parent inquiries via phone, email, and text regarding billing and financial holds.
• Maintain professional compliance with FERPA regulations when disclosing information to parents.
• Work with both domestic and international payment providers to finalize student accounts.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of related office experience and/or training.
• Proficiency with Google applications and Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail for transaction entry.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge using the Colleague Records System.
