Structures Technician

Responsibilities

• Modify, repair, assemble, and install rocket and spacecraft components
• Use tooling, pilot holes, or hand tools per drawing instructions
• Install fasteners using correct tools like rivet guns, drill motors, and nut runners
• Drill, ream, and countersink holes to correct size and sequence
• Deburr panels using knives, rotary tools, or orbital sanders
• Apply sealant, Alodine, primer, adhesives, and special finishes
• Perform self-checks using QA instruments to ensure compliance with drawings
• Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in an approved manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate
• 1+ years of experience in hardware assembly, test, maintenance, or material handling
• OR certificate from an accredited trade skills program in A&P, manufacturing, or electronics
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
• Willingness to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional structural assembly experience
• A&P license
• Experience drilling, reaming, honing, and countersinking close tolerance holes
• Military or aviation manufacturing experience
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and hand-held power tools
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
