Structures & Payload Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and project leadership within the AH-64 Apache Airframe Integrated Product Team.
• Develop, maintain, and modify structural component designs using 3D CAD tools to provide product definition.
• Generate 3D CAD models and manage product data for structural components, hardware, assemblies, and installations.
• Perform tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet all requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate with adjacent engineering functions including stress analysis, materials, manufacturing, and quality.
• Support supplier development, testing, and production activities to optimize designs and achieve program goals.
• Investigate emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry.
• For Level 3 (Experienced): 5 or more years of related work experience.
• For Level 4 (Senior): 9 or more years of related work experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling.
• Knowledge of structural design principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience supporting the AH-64 Apache or AH-6 Little Bird helicopter programs.
• Experience in the full structural design process from conceptual layout through package release.
• Proficiency with NX CAD and Teamcenter PDM.
• Knowledge of structural design principles for aircraft primary and secondary structures.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
