Structures Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define the structural design of the rocket in coordination with other vehicle owners
• Analyze structural components and write margin summaries
• Procure and manage hardware for owned components and structures
• Work with manufacturing and test engineers to build and test first articles
• Track and disposition non-conformances for structural hardware
• Manage budget and schedule for owned structural components

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering
• Proficiency with CAD software (NX preferred)
• Proficiency with analysis software (ANSYS preferred)
• Experience with development projects through the full lifecycle
• Ability to perform hand calculations and multi-physics finite element solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of industry experience in vehicle structure design, build, or testing
• Familiarity with launch vehicle design and cryogenic propellants
