About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
  • Maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D CAD tools.
  • Perform tests to validate and verify that systems and components meet all requirements and specifications.
  • Manage program activities and coordinate multiple Galley Insert qualification programs simultaneously.
  • Review and approve supplier technical data and hardware for compliance with FAA, Customer, and Boeing specifications.
  • Collaborate with factory personnel to ensure seamless installation and integration of galley inserts.
  • Investigate technical inquiries, deviations, non-conformances, and quality issues using engineering principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences).
  • 2+ years of engineering experience in design, integration, or certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in Aircraft Interiors Design and Certification.
  • 2+ years of experience designing payload structures or mechanical assemblies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Airplane Payloads, Interiors, and FAA/EASA transport category aircraft regulations.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 or equivalent 3D CAD design software.
  • Experience managing supplier activities and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action and engineering drawing review/release processes.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
