Structure Engineer - Site (Steel)

Responsibilities

• Supervise site activities to ensure construction complies with approved structural designs and international codes
• Review structural shop drawings, calculations, method statements, and RFIs
• Identify and resolve structural design issues by providing practical engineering solutions
• Conduct site inspections for reinforcement placement, formwork, and structural steel works
• Monitor construction works to ensure design intent is achieved and meets authority requirements
• Supervise a small team of engineers and technicians
• Collaborate with other disciplines to resolve coordination issues and site clashes
• Review contractor variation orders regarding structural and civil activities
• Attend weekly site progress meetings and prepare client/project proposals

Requirements

• 10-15 years of experience in engineering consultancy firms
• Proven expertise in steel structure design and analysis
• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proficiency in design software such as Etabs, Staad Pro, Safe, or Prokon
• Strong knowledge of international codes, authority standards, and project specifications
• Experience managing both the design and construction stages of a project

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a relevant field
• Chartered Engineer status
