Structural Welder

Responsibilities

• Safely fabricate and assemble structural components through high-quality welding and metal preparation
• Comply with all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind, or bolt component parts
• Remove rough spots from work pieces using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers
• Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter using hand scrapers, power chippers, or arc-cutting equipment
• Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, and SAW) to fuse metal segments
• Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic grinders prior to welding beading passes

Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in welding
• Ability to weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
• Proficiency with manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
• High School diploma or GED preferred
