Structural Steel Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate crew activities to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines
• Support the development and implementation of project plans and schedules in collaboration with project management
• Monitor daily operations and conduct thorough inspections to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards
• Deliver job site safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness among all personnel
• Manage and control project budgets by enforcing cost control measures
• Establish and enforce rigorous quality standards to ensure work meets contractual and regulatory requirements
• Facilitate communication across teams and resolve operational challenges promptly

Requirements

• 3+ years of structural steel supervision experience on heavy civil, industrial, or power projects
• Proven experience in a heavy civil construction setting
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, union agreements, and jurisdictional issues
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and lift plans
• OSHA 30 certification or equivalent
• ACI certifications
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel and relocate as business needs require
