Structural Researcher

Responsibilities

• Define and develop wing structures combining rigid elements and pressurized textile beams
• Design and implement structural principles for rotating hybrid textile-carbon wing architectures
• Simulate structural deflection and internal stresses to maintain aerodynamic performance
• Perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) including model setup, meshing, and post-processing
• Support physical analysis and validation through correlation between simulation and experimental results
• Lead prototyping and testing activities to ensure stiffness and fatigue resistance
• Prevent structural resonance and failures resulting from high fatigue cycle loading

Requirements

• Engineering degree, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical, Structural, or Aerospace Engineering
• 5 to 10 years of experience in structural engineering or structural analysis
• Strong experience in structural analysis and simulation of lightweight structures
• Hands-on experience with ANSYS Mechanical and ANSYS Workbench
• Experience with static and dynamic simulations
• Proficiency in English or French

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with composite, textile, or inflatable structures
• Knowledge of fatigue, vibration phenomena, and modal analysis
• Experience with Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) workflows and CFD-to-FEA transfer
• Professional working proficiency in both English and French
