Structural QA/QC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect structural works on-site including excavation, foundations, concrete, reinforcement, and structural steel
• Review and verify contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality control procedures
• Witness and verify field and laboratory testing activities such as concrete slump and compressive strength tests
• Conduct routine surveillance inspections to identify non-conformities or workmanship issues
• Review QA/QC documentation including MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, and test reports
• Maintain accurate quality records and prepare quality status reports
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements
• Ensure compliance with international standards such as ACI, ASTM, BS, and Eurocodes
• Review and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to ensure timely corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• 6–10 years of relevant QA/QC experience in building construction
• 3–5 years of focused experience in structural works
• Strong experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, and foundations
• Familiarity with international construction standards and UAE regulations
• Excellent technical reporting and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Certifications such as CSWIP, BGAS, or Lead Auditor
