Structural QA/QC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect structural works on-site, including excavation, foundations, concrete, reinforcement, and structural steel
• Review and verify contractor Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality control procedures
• Witness and verify field and laboratory testing activities such as concrete slump tests and compressive strength tests
• Conduct routine surveillance inspections to identify non-conformities, deviations, or workmanship issues
• Review QA/QC documentation including MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, test reports, and as-built drawings
• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and daily site observations
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with project quality requirements
• Follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 6–10 years of QA/QC experience in building construction
• 3–5 years of experience specifically focused on structural works
• Strong experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel works
• Knowledge of ACI, ASTM, BS, Eurocodes, and UAE regulations
• Excellent technical reporting, communication, and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
• Certifications such as CSWIP, BGAS, or Lead Auditor
