Structural Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, tests, and evaluations of O&M Contractor activities including roads, utilities, and pedestrian bridges
• Perform continuous surveillance of structural works to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications
• Oversee daily routine operations and maintenance works performed by contractors and identify required corrective actions
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, progress reports, and site records for Client or PMC staff
• Maintain a detailed daily diary of work activities, including approved/rejected works, labor, and equipment usage
• Coordinate daily with contractors to monitor performance and ensure proper execution of work
• Process Inspection Requests and maintain accurate records of their status
• Report any questionable methods of operation or failures to perform work according to drawings to the Resident Engineer

Requirements

• B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university
• Valid UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) equivalency certificate for your educational degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the maintenance of structures, specifically bridges and underpasses, within the UAE
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• Strong proficiency in English, both written and oral, for technical reporting and communication
• Full computer literacy with the ability to utilize technology for data management and report generation
• Sound knowledge of contractual relationships and construction-related processes
