Structural Inspector

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections for all structural works to ensure compliance with approved IFC drawings, shop drawings, and method statements
• Monitor contractor activities to verify adherence to UAE authority requirements and international standards
• Identify deviations and non-conformities by issuing Site Observation Reports (SOR) and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
• Review and validate inspections for concrete works, reinforcement, formwork, structural steel, foundations, and waterproofing
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, and specialists to resolve structural issues and confirm corrective actions
• Verify contractor documentation, including testing and quality records such as cube tests, FDT, and calibration certificates
• Maintain accurate inspection records using photographs, detailed comments, and digital QA/QC systems
• Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols during all inspection activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of structural site inspection experience within the UAE construction industry
• Strong knowledge of UAE building codes, authority requirements, and international standards
• Ability to interpret IFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, ITPs, and method statements
• Proficiency in technical report writing and digital inspection platforms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Valid UAE driver's license and ability to travel between project sites
• Physical capability to access structural elements in constrained or elevated locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Site safety certifications such as OSHA or NEBOSH
• Experience managing Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and Site Observation Reports (SOR)
• Knowledge of concrete testing protocols (cube tests, FDT, plate load tests)
• Arabic language proficiency
• Immediate availability to commence employment
