Structural Estimator

Responsibilities

• Determine installation quantities based on drawings and specifications
• Prepare cost estimates for major local and national projects
• Develop comprehensive estimates for large and complex works
• Review owner plans, specifications, and tender documents to develop construction plans
• Coordinate with planning, scheduling, procurement, and proposal teams
• Prepare and present estimates to management and external clients
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Collaborate with the estimate team on continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Technical Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 8+ years of experience in structural estimating for major construction projects
• Strong knowledge of the Canadian construction market, specifically structural systems and materials
• Proficiency in MS Office and Bluebeam
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• Ability to travel to project sites or client meetings as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the industrial, hydro, oil & gas, or mining sectors
• Fluency in French
