Structural Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural engineering teams across multiple customer-driven projects and internal product development programs
• Perform complex structural design, analysis, and strength assessments for metallic and composite aircraft structures
• Develop structural analysis methodologies, engineering tools, and automation solutions using scripting and coding
• Lead structural strength and damage tolerance assessments, including crack growth and life prediction approaches
• Oversee the development of material allowables and design structural test programs, including load cases and acceptance criteria
• Support and guide certification activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as FAR/CS 25
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality engineering to ensure product alignment
• Mentor and develop engineering team members, fostering technical growth and engineering best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of extensive experience in structural engineering, with a focus on analysis and design
• Deep expertise in metallic and composite aircraft structures and failure mechanisms
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or Abaqus
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar languages for engineering applications
• Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams
• Solid understanding of the product development lifecycle and aerospace certification processes
