Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Create designs and calculations for simple to highly complex steel, concrete, and geotechnical structures
• Work on diverse infrastructure (bridges, tunnels, viaducts) and hydraulic engineering (locks, weirs, quays, jetties) projects
• Perform structural calculations or verify and review calculations prepared by others
• Technically elaborate the (technical) Program of Requirements across all design phases
• Collaborate with modelers and drafters to implement designs
• Act as an advisor to clients (semi-governments and contractors) from planning to execution design phases
• Mentor and support junior structural engineers

Requirements

• Completed HBO/WO degree in Civil Engineering
• Several years of relevant work experience in concrete and steel structures
• Thorough knowledge of applicable Dutch regulations and guidelines
• Affinity with or experience in geotechnics
• Proficiency in the Dutch language
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with SCIA
• Experience with Deltares software packages
