Structural Engineer - Temporary Structures

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings and calculations for temporary works, including heavy lift plans, site logistics, and custom rigging.
• Design erection procedures and planned sequences for construction or demolition operations.
• Perform structural analysis to ensure stability for new bridges, viaducts, buildings, and tunnels during construction staging.
• Support excavation systems, cofferdams, temporary bridges, trestles, and work platforms.
• Review design drawings and calculations to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
• Identify design risks and assist with mitigation planning.
• Provide on-site design engineering support, inspections, and mentoring for E.I.T.s.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility within the United States.
• Proven experience with temporary structures and/or construction engineering.
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, BlueBeam, MathCAD, Navisworks, or RISA-3D.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working in multi-disciplinary team environments.
• Ability to travel or relocate based on business needs and access various construction site environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or greater in Structural Engineering.
