Structural Engineer, Resources

Responsibilities

• Design structural systems for mining and industrial facilities to advance safety and reliability
• Deliver detailed engineering packages from conceptual design through stamped IFC deliverables
• Coordinate design requirements with mechanical, electrical, process, and geotechnical teams
• Conduct structural assessments and site investigations to guide retrofit and rehabilitation strategies
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction specifications for regulatory compliance
• Provide design leadership and guidance to junior engineers and designers
• Engage with clients through site meetings, field reviews, and collaborative problem-solving

Requirements

• Eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Ontario
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience designing concrete and steel structures for industrial facilities
• Proficiency with structural analysis tools such as S-Frame, STAAD.Pro, or SAP2000
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Codes and Standards
• Experience working within the Sudbury market
• Ability to perform field reviews and site investigations in active industrial settings
