Responsibilities

• Own the structural system for the platform and define standard structural assemblies for walls, floors, roofs, and connections.
• Partner with architects and modeling teams to translate architectural intent into factory-buildable systems.
• Lead structural engineering on key projects, developing internal schemes and preparing packages for external engineers of record.
• Diagnose structural root causes for issues in the factory and field to update standards and prevent recurrence.
• Prototype automated structural optimization workflows in collaboration with software and modeling teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of structural engineering experience on building projects, ideally in multifamily or high-repeatability housing.
• Strong grasp of structural behavior in wood, light-gauge, and mixed-material systems.
• Proficiency with structural analysis tools and experience working within parametric CAD environments like Onshape or Revit.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with modular, offsite, panelized, or prefabricated systems.
• Familiarity with Massachusetts or California building codes.
• Experience using scripting or automation to run repeatable structural studies and optimizations.
