Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise bridge substructure and superstructure works, including pile foundations, girders, deck slabs, and bearing installations
• Oversee TBM-related structural activities, segmental ring builds, and cut-and-cover works
• Witness post-tensioning operations, NDT activities, and concrete testing
• Review and provide technical comments on contractor method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and material submittals
• Verify survey setting-out, geometric tolerances, and heavy-lift operations
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and investigate structural defects
• Coordinate with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and other authorities for inspections and approvals
• Enforce project HSE plans, specifically regarding heavy lifts, working at height, and confined spaces
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly technical reports regarding structural supervision and progress

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 12 years of structural engineering experience
• At least 8 years of experience supervising major bridge and/or tunnel projects
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the UAE/GCC working on RTA, metro, or Dubai Municipality projects
• Strong knowledge of ACI, AASHTO, and BS standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks, and MS Office
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro) at a reviewer level
• Ability to work in underground and confined space environments
• Fluent written and spoken English

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license
