Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Supervise bridge substructure and superstructure works, including pile foundations, piers, abutments, and segmental box girders
• Witness post-tensioning operations such as duct installation, strand threading, stressing, and grouting
• Oversee TBM-related structural activities, including segment delivery, ring build, and annular grouting
• Supervise cut-and-cover works, including diaphragm walls, secant pile walls, and base slabs
• Review and provide technical comments on Contractor method statements, ITPs, shop drawings, and material submittals
• Verify survey setting-out, levels, and geometric tolerances against IFC drawings
• Raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) and investigate structural defects
• Enforce project HSE plans, specifically regarding heavy lifts, post-tensioning, and confined space works
• Coordinate with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and other authorities for inspections and approvals

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 12 years of structural engineering experience
• At least 8 years of experience supervising major bridge and/or tunnel projects
• Minimum 6 years of UAE/GCC experience on RTA, metro, or Dubai Municipality projects
• Strong knowledge of ACI, AASHTO, and BS standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Navisworks
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, or STAAD.Pro) at a reviewer level
• Ability to work underground and in confined spaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid UAE driving license
