Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Analyse and design reinforced and mass concrete hydraulic structures including dams, spillways, and intake structures
• Perform structural assessments under static, dynamic, seismic, thermal, and hydraulic load conditions
• Develop and review detailed structural calculations, design drawings, and technical reports
• Coordinate with hydraulic, geotechnical, and civil engineers for integrated design solutions
• Assess crack control, durability, abrasion, and cavitation risk in concrete structures
• Review contractor design submissions, temporary works, and construction methodologies
• Provide technical support during construction through site inspections and design clarifications
• Contribute to dam safety reviews and rehabilitation projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Proven experience in design of concrete hydraulic or water-retaining structures
• Strong understanding of reinforced and mass concrete behavior
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, CSI Column, or Abaqus
• Strong analytical and numerical modelling skills
• Practical understanding of construction methods for large concrete structures

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with relevant international design standards
• Experience in dam safety reviews and condition assessments
