Structural Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform intermediate structural calculations and analyze data to solve problems using established scientific principles.
• Design buildings, foundations, equipment platforms, pipe racks, and various concrete and steel structures.
• Utilize structural engineering software to analyze structures and develop detailed plans.
• Prepare quantities, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for projects.
• Conduct quality checks of designs within a team environment to ensure accuracy and mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and project teams to present findings and improve design processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or Architectural Engineering.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience, preferably in Nuclear, Power Generation, or Industrial sectors.
• Engineering in Training (EIT) certificate or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficiency with engineering software such as Staad Pro, SAP2000, SAFE, RISA, spMats, or Mathcad.
• Familiarity with national design codes including IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
